I'd read parts of the books by Neale Donald Walsh called "Conversations with God" but I didn't really think about trying it myself until I was anguishing over something. I started out writing letters to God in my daily journaling and would get a response, but I figured it was just my imagination conjuring up something I wanted to hear.
Then about 4 days ago, I woke up at 4am and started spontaneously writing a dialogue with God. This went on for over an hour and I wrote about 8 pages before I had to go back to sleep.
I have no "proof" that God is really answering me in these forthcoming dialogues, but I know that I do feel comforted and that even if it's just my "inner advisor," I'm happy to be having this talks.
